Unfortunately there are no stable Xfce 4.12 packages for Xubuntu 12.04, at least at the time I'm writing this article (there are just a few Xfce 4.11 packages).
If for whatever reason you want to revert the changes and downgrade to the Xfce version available in the official Xubuntu repositories, you can use PPA Purge to purge the Xfce 4.12 PPA (using PPA purge, the PPA is disabled and all the packages from that PPA are downgraded to the version available in the repositories).
The DE is what makes Lubuntu a lightweight OS, and of course the selected applications too because we make sure to use the lightest applications which are not resource hungry.
Yet I still only find older versions of most applications.
